Mrs. U. H. Okwechime
Acting Director General/ Chief Executive

Mrs. Okwechime holds a B.A (Hons) English from the University of Benin and also an M.A. Developmental Studies (Public Policy and Administration) from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, Netherlands. She joined the Federal Civil Service in 1981 as an Administrative Grade VIII (Assistant Secretary) and has since worked in many Federal Ministries and Agencies. She was deployed to NOSDRA from the former Federal Ministry of Environment in 2005 as pioneer staff of the Agency and specifically to set up the Administration and Finance Department. She is currently the Deputy Director/ Head, Administration and Finance Department (A&F) of the Agency. She has attended many meetings, seminars, training programmes, and conferences both nationally and internationally. She loves listening to people, music, travelling and reading.

Mr. Idris O. Musa
Director, Oil Spill Detection and Response Department (OSDR)

Mr. Musa holds a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) in Geography, a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning. He worked in the private sector of the Nigerian economy before joining the public sector over a decade ago.  He has been in the environmental management field since, and worked variously as desk officer in Urban Environmental Compliance, Operations Criteria Enforcement in Oil and Gas, Gas Flare-Out Programme and presently Head, Oil Spill Detection and Response Department of the Agency.  He has attended a number of Courses in Oil Spill Management both in Nigeria and Overseas.  He also attended the Royal Institute of Public Administration in London where he participated in the Management and Policy Development Skills for Senior Managers.

Mr. O. J. Abe
Director, Planning, Policy Analysis and Research Department (PPAR)

Mr. Abe holds a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) in Zoology and a Master of Science degree (M.Sc) in Animal Science. He has over 14 years experience in the public sector as an Environmental Scientist, and has worked in the defunct Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA). He joined NOSDRA from the former Federal Ministry of Environment. He has attended various training programmes on oil spill and environmental management. He is presently the Head of Planning, Policy Analysis and Research Department. He hails from Ekiti State and is married with children.
