Director, Account and Finance Department (F&A)

Mrs. Okwechime holds a B.A (Hons) English from the University of Benin and also an M.A. Development Studies (Public Policy and Administration) from the Institute of Social Studies, in Hague, Netherlands. She joined the Federal Civil Service in 1981 as an Administrative Grade Level VIII (Assistant Secretary II) and has since worked in many Federal Ministries and Agencies. She was deployed to NOSDRA from the Federal Ministry of Environment In 2005 as pioneer staff of the Agency and specifically to set up the Administration and Finance Department. She is currently the Director Administration and Finance Department (A&F) of the Agency. At the demise of the late DG/CE, she became the Acting DG/CE until the appointment of the new DG/CE. She has attended many meetings, seminars, training programmes, and conferences both nationally and internationally. She loves listening to people, music, travelling and reading.

Mr. Idris Olubola Musa
Director, Oil Field Assessment Department (OFA)

Mr Musa holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc Hons) in Geography, Masters of Urban & Regional Planning (M.URP) from the University of Ibadan, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Ilorin. He worked in the private sector of the Nigerian economy before joining the public sector over a decade and a half ago. He has been in the environmental management field since, and worked variously as desk officer in Urban Environmental Compliance (waste Management), Operations Criteria Enforcement in Oil & Gas, Gas Flare-out Programme and presently, Head, Oil Field Assessment Department of the National Oil Spill Detection & Response Agency (NOSDRA). He attended a number of Courses in Environmental Practices in the Oil Industry particularly, waste and oil spill management both in Nigeria and overseas. In Nigeria, he attended training courses in Assets Management of Pipelines, organized by INTSOK of Norway and Risk -Based Corrective Action (RBCA) on the various levels of oil impacted sites remediation. He attended the Royal Institute of Public Administration (RIPA) in London where he obtained a certificate in Management and Policy Development Skills for Senior Managers. Furthermore, he obtained a Certificate in Oil Spill Management at a course organized by the Oil Spill Response Limited of Southampton, United Kingdom in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He also attended courses organised by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) on the Fundamentals of Oil Spill Co-ordination and Shoreline Clean-up Assessment as well as obtaining a Certificate in National Incident Management System Levels 100-400. He obtained a Certificate in Oil –in-Water Monitoring training in Aberdeen, United Kingdom. He is the Global-Initiative for West, Central and Southern Africa (GI-WACAF) focal point person for Nigeria, on oil spill response issues within the region.
