Dr. Lawrence P. Eyo-Essien
Assistant Director/ Head, Port Harcourt Zonal Office

Dr. Eyo-Essien holds M.Sc in Agronomy and Ph.D in Agrochemistry. He has worked for about 20 years as a Scientist, of which 15 has been dedicated to the public sector. He is experienced in the assessment of projects with potential environmental implications, development of framework for oil spill contingency planning, post-impact assessment of oil-impacted sites, monitoring and auditing of stockpile of oil spill response equipment and monitoring of clean-up exercises on oil-spill impacted areas, amongst other duties. He joined NOSDRA in 2006 from the former Federal Ministry of Environment. He hails from Akwa Ibom State and is married with 3 children.

Mr. Dauda A. Gidado
Assistant Director (PPAR)

An indigene of Ondo State, Mr. Gidado holds B.Sc and M.Sc in Geography, as well as M.Sc in Geographic Information Systems. He has participated in the formulation of Guidelines and Standards on the Petroleum Industry, and the public review panel on environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of some projects in the Oil and Gas Industry. He served on the committee that prepared the National Oil Spill Contingency Plan for Nigeria in 2000. He has attended various national and international training programmes on oil spill management and Environmental Sensitivity Mapping. He is presently in charge of GIS in the Agency, and a member of Nigeria Environmental Society. He is married with 3 children.

Miss Stella Y. Omitogun
Assistant Director, Port Harcourt Zonal Office

Miss Omitogun holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in Chemical Engineering. She joined the Public Service in 1989 and has been in the environmental management field since. Her wealth of experience includes, amongst others, post impact monitoring of oil impacted sites, environmental risk assessment of oil and gas facilities operation, environmental impact assessment of various projects and environmental auditing. She has also participated in Consultative fora of stakeholders of the oil and gas industry in the Niger Delta. Her hobbies include traveling, meeting people, cooking and photography. She hails from Osun State.

Mr. Gboyega Oyekanmi Esq
Legal Adviser

Mr. Oyekanmi holds a Certificate in Legislative Drafting (CILD), as well as first and Masters degrees in Law as follows: LLB, BL and LLM. Before he joined the Agency, he worked as a Legal Draftsman in the Federal Ministry of Justice for 14 years. He has also served as Legal Adviser to the Presidential Taskforce on Financial Crimes and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) – a cumulative of about 20 years experience on legal matters. He is responsible for the preparation of agreements and memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the Agency; providing advice on legal and statutory matters; and all litigation, prosecution and arbitration activities as it affects the Agency. He hails from Osun State and is married.

Mr. Yakubu J. Jimoh
Chief Executive Officer (Supply)

A native of Kogi State, Mr. Jimoh has 18 years experience as an Administrative Officer in various capacities in the public sector. He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing, as well as a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) and a Masters degree (MBA) in Business Administration. He joined NOSDRA in 2006 as Chief Executive Officer (Supply). He is a member of the Chartered Nigerian Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management. He enjoys playing table tennis, badminton and lawn tennis. He is married with children.

Mr. Alpha S. Andrew
Chief Environmental Scientist (OSDR)

Mr. Andrew, who hails form Taraba State, holds a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering. Having worked as a Production Manager in a private company, he joined the former Federal Ministry of Works and Housing in 1997. He then worked in the Oil and Gas Division of the former Federal Ministry of Environment, after which he joined NOSDRA in 2006 as Chief Environmental Scientist. He is widely experienced in monitoring clean-up and remediation of oil-spill impacted sites, assessment evaluation of oil facilities, risk-based assessment of oil impacted site, and issuance of permits on disposal of oily wastes and use of dispersants. He has attended many Courses, some of which include: Environmental impact assessment and studies, Pipeline Integrity Management, and Disaster Management.
